At the beginning of this course, I was very worried about the possible risks of acute moutatin sickness. Although the situation turned out to be a lot better than I had expected with the help of medicine, I caught a cold just before the day to visit Lhasa Middle School.
Our group had planned to organize an sociological game with role play in the workshop, but I was suggested to stay in the hotel on that day to take more rest, considering our itenaray later which aims at even higher elevation. Unfortunately, one of my groupmates was also sick and would be absent from the workshop as well. I was quite concerned about our workshop and felt very guilty for not being able to attend. Luckily, classmates from other groups are willing to play our roles in the game, which was carried out smoothly in the end.
It was indeed not easy to restore on plateau, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have provided support when I was sick, including my classmates who helped in the workshop, who offered me medicine, as well as Jessie, our course coordinator, and Isaac, our mentor, who took care of me along the way from Lhasa to Mt. Everest.
